Privacy Notice on the Protection and Processing of Personal Data

This notice explains for which purposes and on which legal grounds CLK Alaşımlı Metal Geri Dönüşüm ve Mühendislik Ltd. Şti. ("Alaşımlı Metal" or the "Company"), as data controller, processes the personal data of website visitors, customers, scrap sellers and business partners, to whom it transfers such data, and the rights of data subjects.

02Personal data processed

When you contact us through our website, by e-mail, telephone or WhatsApp, or when you sell your scrap to us, the following data may be processed:

Identity and contact data: name, surname, company name, e-mail address, telephone number
Request content: scrap type, estimated quantity, location of the scrap, message text
Files sent through the forms or via WhatsApp: scrap photographs and the information they contain
Purchase process data: collection address, weighing and analysis results, payment and invoicing details
Transaction security data: form submission time, submitting page, IP address (in server logs, short term)
Visit source data (only if you allowed advertising cookies in the cookie banner): the address through which you first entered the site, the campaign and advertising parameters in that address (e.g. utm tags, Google Ads click ID) and the referring site; sent together with your request when you submit a form

03Purposes of processing

Receiving and evaluating scrap quotation requests and making price offers
Carrying out scrap purchase, collection and transport, weighing, analysis and payment processes
Responding to contact requests
Executing contract and invoicing processes
Fulfilling legal obligations (commercial books and records, tax and applicable waste legislation)
Measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns (only if advertising cookies are allowed)
Ensuring website security and preventing misuse

04Legal grounds

Your personal data is processed under Article 5 of the KVKK on the following legal grounds:

Being directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract (Art. 5/2-c): quotation, scrap purchase, collection and payment processes
Fulfilment of the data controller's legal obligations (Art. 5/2-ç): commercial and tax record-keeping
Establishment, exercise or protection of a right (Art. 5/2-e)
Legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not harmed (Art. 5/2-f): responding to contact requests, site security
Explicit consent (Art. 5/1): for optional cookies and advertising measurement (given through your choice in the cookie banner and revocable at any time), for transfers abroad, and where none of the above grounds apply

05Method of collection

Your personal data is collected through the Scrap Quote and Contact forms on our website, by e-mail, telephone, WhatsApp and in person, by automatic or partly automatic means. In addition, and only to the extent you allow in the cookie banner, Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies are used through Google Tag Manager; details are in the Privacy and Cookie Policy. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link at the bottom of the page.

06Transfer of personal data

Limited to the purposes above and to the extent necessary, your personal data may be transferred to:

Logistics companies and business partners involved in scrap purchase, transport and analysis (only the information required by the request)
Banks, for making payments
Legally authorised public institutions and judicial authorities (upon request)
Service providers such as accountants and legal advisers
Advertising and measurement services: if you allow it, cookie and measurement data is shared with Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads)
Transfer abroad: our e-mail infrastructure and website hosting / form delivery infrastructure (Cloudflare) use servers located outside Türkiye. Data submitted through the forms is processed via these infrastructures. Such transfers are carried out on the basis of the data subject's explicit consent and/or the appropriate safeguards provided for by the Personal Data Protection Board under Article 9 of the KVKK.

07Retention periods

Quotation and contact requests not resulting in a purchase: 2 years from the date of the request
Requests resulting in a purchase and commercial records: 10 years as required by law (Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102, Tax Procedure Law No. 213)
Form submission and security logs: at most 1 year
At the end of the period, data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised

To learn whether your personal data is processed
To request information if it has been processed
To learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used in accordance with that purpose
To know the third parties to whom data is transferred, in Türkiye or abroad
To request correction if data is incomplete or inaccurate
To request deletion or destruction within the framework of Article 7 of the KVKK
To request that correction, deletion and destruction be notified to third parties to whom data has been transferred
To object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems
To claim compensation for damage suffered due to unlawful processing

How to apply

You may submit requests regarding your rights, together with documents verifying your identity, by e-mail to u.colak@alasimlimetal.com or in writing to our address above, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller. Applications are concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest; where the procedure incurs an additional cost, the fee set by the Board may apply.
